Why The Two-Step Paint System?

Your 1998 BMW M is painted at the factory with a high quality basecoat/clearcoat system. This two-step paint system consists of step one, the basecoat, which is your car’s actual color, and step two, the clearcoat, the specially formulated clear paint that protects the base color and provides the luster and deep shine your vehicle came with when new. AutomotiveTouchup products faithfully reproduce your vehicle manufacturer’s basecoat/clearcoat system.

Here's what our customers are saying about our Touch Up Paint:

Alex K, owner of a 1999 BMW M3 from Danville, IL

A few years ago I took my BMW m3 to a body shop to touch up a minor scratch. I was not pleased with the outcome due to the mismatch in paint color of the original Dakar yellow to the paint used at the body shop. I ordered your paint and decided to give it a try fixing it myself, as I could always see the error of the previous touch up. I am very surprised to how well the paint matched and the BMW yellow paint is not a paint easy to match. Now I no longer notice the imperfect paint touch up from the body shop and even getting down on the ground I can hardly see where the factory paint and the Automotive touch up brand paints are blended. I have other "projects" that I will be ordering their paint for in the future.

Bob F, owner of a 1999 BMW 3-Series from Sleepy Hollow, IL

My experience with your company and your product was fantastic! This spring I discovered minor surface rust on my trunk lid and left rear quarter panel. I contacted my body shop for a repair estimate and was amazed when I found their quote to be in excess of $1000. Keep in mind the book value on a 1999 BMW 323 convertible is less than $5000. After visiting your website, you convinced me that I could handle this project with my skill sets and I ordered the appropriate paint and primer. While waiting for your product to arrive I reviewed your how-to videos and began preparing my vehicle for paint. Just about the time I felt I had adequately prepared all areas for paint your product arrived. I followed your straight forward and clear instructions and even amazed myself with the outcome. Trust me it's a scary thought when planning to sand, repair and paint your pride and joy but with careful preparation, following your detailed instructions and a dose of patients the outcome cannot only be outstanding but a huge gift to your bank account. Thanks for your help every step of the way!
