Why The Two-Step Paint System?

Your 1999 BMW Z8 is painted at the factory with a high quality basecoat/clearcoat system. This two-step paint system consists of step one, the basecoat, which is your car’s actual color, and step two, the clearcoat, the specially formulated clear paint that protects the base color and provides the luster and deep shine your vehicle came with when new. AutomotiveTouchup products faithfully reproduce your vehicle manufacturer’s basecoat/clearcoat system.

Here's what our customers are saying about our Touch Up Paint:

Tim M, owner of a 1999 BMW from Albany, NY

Very satisfied with the products rendered. I repaired some minor scratches on a 1999 BMW R1100RT motorcycle. BMW motorcycle no longer offers touch up paint sticks. Automotive Touchup is a great alternative. After some simple research on the Internet to confirm the OEM paint color, I ordered the primer, color, and clear coat touch up sticks. I travel for work, and did not mind waiting 2 weeks for the product(s). The color was a perfect match, and I am pleased with the end result. Thank You

Jim, owner of a 1999 BMW 3-Series from Granger

First off, I am not a professional auto body person, just a DIYer. I was very impressed with the color match - it was perfect! The paint was easy to order, just use your vehicle paint color. I did the aerosol base/clear coat route. I watched a lot of YouTube videos on how to prep and finish and then applied the paint/clear coat according to the instructions on the cans. I sanded sanded the clear coat with 1000, 1500, 2000 and 2500 grit wet paper and then buffed with cutting compound, polishing compound and then finally polishing/wax. I enjoyed the process and the repaired areas are indistinguishable. I am a very happy customer!
