Choose your Automotive paint color for your 1989 Buick Roadmaster

Restore Your 1989 Buick Roadmaster Finish In Two Steps

Select Your Buick's Color (Step One)

AutomotiveTouchup paint products are custom mixed to perfectly match the color of your 1989 Buick Roadmaster using a basecoat/clearcoat system just like factory specs. To insure a proper match, you’ll need to know your vehicle’s color code, so you can find it on the chart below. The color code will be located on a sticker named Parts Identification. The code can start with BC/CC followed by a U, or a WA with a four digit number/letter combination. We use the WA format for simplicity, your code may have a U. WA8555 is the same as U8555. Why The Two-Step Paint System?

Your 1989 Buick Roadmaster is painted at the factory with a high quality basecoat/clearcoat system. This two-step paint system consists of step one, the basecoat, which is your car’s actual color, and step two, the clearcoat, the specially formulated clear paint that protects the base color and provides the luster and deep shine your vehicle came with when new. AutomotiveTouchup products faithfully reproduce your vehicle manufacturer’s basecoat/clearcoat system.

Here's what our customers are saying about our Touch Up Paint:

Dennis P, owner of a 1990 Buick from Davison, MI

Color seems too match very well. Too early in the project for finish pictures, may need more.

John H, owner of a 1990 Buick from Sarasota, FL

The Issue: Though my 1990 Buick Reatta is nearly 25 years old I keep it in pristine condition. That is why I was extremely disappointed when a dump truck I was behind lost some gavel and it hit the front of my car. Miraculously for some odd reason it only did damage to the Driver's Side Headlamp Cover ... but it did a lot of damage; there were at least 25 chips with a while background. It looked horrible ... in fact, within a few hours someone had already noticed the mess and mentioned it. Not wanting to have to get the entire front of the car painted I ordered a set of Paint Pens from AutomotiveTouchup.com; Sandable Primer, Basecoat Color [GMC 81], and Gloss Clearcoat as well as Prep Solvent. The Process: Removed the Headlamp Cover from the car > Cleaned it thoroughly with the Prep Solvent using a rag, a toothpick, and a Cotton Swab to get all residue out of both the new and old chips > Next I applied the Primer using both the pen's tip for larger chips, a very small brush for smaller ones and a toothpick for tiny chips > 30 minutes later I used the Basecoat using the same method > 60 minutes later I used the same method to apply the Clearcoat > After allowing the Headlamp Cover to dry [15+ minutes] I reinstalled it. Bottom Line: From two feet away the Headlamp Cover looks factory nice. Even under very close inspection under a bright light it looks amazing ... only the remnants of where the chips once were is visible. It is important to mention that the color match is on the money. Recommend or not: I highly recommend these easy to use products. Thank you AutomotiveTouchup!
