My battery box cover on my Corvette had paint coming off of it. I was going to have a body shop repair the panel till a friend to order paint from Automotive Touchup and do it myself. I figured I would try it and if it did not work I could still take it to a body shop. Received the paint so I took the battery box cover off and sanded it down and painted it and later clear coated the paint. It looks great and was the cheapest body repair I have ever had.

I just used a rattle can from Automotive Touchup to paint the molding (door bumper) on my 18 year old 96 Corvette. As with the other painting have done with their products it came out really well. I have an old (1996) C4 Corvette that needed some touch up. I was worried that it would be difficult to match this old sun faded (I live in Florida) paint. But these folks did the magic. I had a little delay since I didn't order clear coat (you DID order clear coat didn't you) but their customer service team got me on the right track. The product worked very well, I had unique situation of small spots of damage (2 license plate screws) on a hit and split of my back bumper, they are so small but body shop wants $400 to repaint the bumper on a 96 corvette, this has solved my crisis while I figure out when to spend the money, the paint color is good and you really have to look for the spots, I didn't go with the clear coat addition since it was a test and figured give the paint a try first - the sponge applicator may not be the best way for me, a small brush to dot since the little touch up sponge tended to wipe away the 1st coat. Dab and go, retouch once more.

Well, I learned a lesson. The Chevrolet 45 base paint Polo Green matched my Corvette perfectly, but I had forgotten the clear coat. I decided to buy off the counter clear coat from a local parts house. When I applied the clear coat, the clear coat turned a milky white. I panicked, but was able to get the clear coat removed before it dried. I am not a great painter anyway, so maybe it was something I did wrong. The car looked so bad, I searched and found a paint dealer locally that had the Polo Green in the gloss enamel and applied it over your green base. It matches OK, but I wish I knew what the deal was with the clear coat. I don't know if I sprayed too lightly or too heavily, or if it was a problem with the clear coat itself. Anyway, I was very satisfied with your product, and will make sure I get everything I need from you before I start the next project.

This is the second time that I've used the product. The aerosol spray applies an even and uniform coat. I am preserving a 1996 Corvette and the color matches perfectly. I've ordered an additional spray can for minor touch up. Very pleased with the results.
