I used the products on my 2003 suburban. The paint was
light pewter which is a metallic paint. I was not optimistic as to the chances of matching and my first spot I applied was dark but under a flair so a good place to practice. I learned that you really have to be patient and use multiple coats (6-8) to get it to lay down correctly and a chance of a decent color match. I Feathered the primer and base coat with 800 and 1500 grit and then feathered a larger section of clear over it. Prepped sanding original clear with 1500 grit and 1500 grit between coats. I have to say that the results had exceeded my expectations. The products are great for my garage project. The only suggestion I would make is to give a tutorial on correctly laying down metallic finish. I’m really happy with the results. I’ll be buying more as I used more than planned and will now attempt to blend in a repair on the hood and the flairs which until this point would not have attempted to match. Thanks highly recommend.

I welded in new panels on my 03 Suburban. Primed and painted. The color matched perfect. And with the clear coat it looks great. It took time but wasn’t too hard to do.

I had search several different touchup manufacturers, both online and in-store to paint a replacement bumper. The convenience of in-store heavily weighed in favor, but, I would have had to order the color needed anyways. I read several reviews both general reviews and customer reviews and decided on Automotive Touchup. After making my order, ATU kept me updated as to where my order stood along with estimated delivery date. Once I received my order for color coded paint for my 2003 Suburban Z71 and clear coat in aerosol spray cans with an aerosol spray can trigger, I started with my project. With 2 good coats of color coded and 3 good clear coat applications, I was amazed by how close the original and new paint matched. This was before polishing and a coat of wax done. After polishing and waxing the bumper the shine came out with a very close mirror finish. Being the very first time completing an entire bumper replacement up to and including painting, polishing and waxing, the quality and excellent instructions by AT made it a breeze.
I would definitely use AT with any future automotive paint projects. Recommendations by me would to definitely read any instructional information from AT including preparation of the surface. Using the aerosol trigger made a HUGE difference in the ease and paint spray covering.
