Why The Two-Step Paint System?

Your 1988 Daihatsu Charade is painted at the factory with a high quality basecoat/clearcoat system. This two-step paint system consists of step one, the basecoat, which is your car’s actual color, and step two, the clearcoat, the specially formulated clear paint that protects the base color and provides the luster and deep shine your vehicle came with when new. AutomotiveTouchup products faithfully reproduce your vehicle manufacturer’s basecoat/clearcoat system.

Here's what our customers are saying about our Touch Up Paint:

I was initially skeptical about tackling this myself but with the “how to” videos I decided to give it a shot. The color matches were a perfect match for existing paint on 2008 Allegro Bus. You can get paint numbers from manufacturers . The process was not as complicated as I imagined. Getting the perfect weather was the hardest part. Above 70, low humidity and no wind was obtainable with a little patience. Much more manageable if you can do this indoors. I have limited options with a 40 foot motorhome. Thank you!

I connected with Automotive Touchup in an attempt to get t/up paint for my 2016 Tiffin Phaeton RV. I sent them all (4 colors) of the BASF paint codes In addition to the required clear coat. Along with my RV’s paint scheme codes I sent a sheet (that I received from Tiffin) for all of their current paint scheme codes. Within the same day of contact they confirmed they could match the codes . They were also pleased that I sent the sheet with all the codes for future use with Tiffin customers. All told the entire purchase through delivery was about three weeks. The normally require 7-10 days but I ordered right before the busy Christmas season. I automatically received a tracking number when it shipped. Arriving on time and packaged so well. Each 2oz jar was in its own plastic protective container and each was placed in a heavy duty plastic zip lock bag. There was no leakage! Jars are labeled professionally with Make of vehicle and color code. As far as the color match is concerned, all paints were spot on even before the clear oat application. All four of my colors contained a metallic flake so I was delighted to see the exactness of each color. The application brush has bristles that are tapered which allow for pinpoint or broad stroke application.. I was delighted at the viscosity of the paint which allowed for one coat application with the ability to blot or move the paint netting a professional finish. In the past, with other paints commercially available through
