Why The Two-Step Paint System?

Your 1965 Ferrari Portofino is painted at the factory with a high quality basecoat/clearcoat system. This two-step paint system consists of step one, the basecoat, which is your car’s actual color, and step two, the clearcoat, the specially formulated clear paint that protects the base color and provides the luster and deep shine your vehicle came with when new. AutomotiveTouchup products faithfully reproduce your vehicle manufacturer’s basecoat/clearcoat system.

right on

Bill T, owner of a 2001 Ferrari from Brentwood, CA

Originally I damaged lower portion of bumper on Ferrari 360 by driving vehicle to far forward on lift that I encountering the stop plates. This actually penetrated the bumper. After removal I decided to repair rather than replace since this is a track car only and the front bumper usually gets dinged up anyway. Once I began repairs I enjoyed it so have spent a bit more time re-learning fiberglass work. So far your products have been amazing for color match and final appearance. The only problem is I have run out of basecoat so have ordered more today. I previously repaired and repainted a 1998 Durango's front and rear bumper at our home in Hawaii after my wife lost a parking battle with a large rock. I will send finished photos after I get additional basecoat, keep up the fine work. Bill Todd, Brentwood CA
