Bought a 92 mustang painted in 93 cobra teal someone poorly painted the engine bay in black! After tearing everything apart and fixing rust hiding wires I was amazed to find a company that supplies my paint in an aerosol can super easy to use clear instructions on the can very metallic paint as well for a can I’m very impressed! Only downfall was my fault not ordering enough clear coat for multiple coats.

The front bumper on my 1993 Ford Mustang svt cobra had some bad road rash on it and I was planning on attending a big car show and cruise event, I ordered the factory matching base and clear coat and followed the instructions exactly and watched a few online videos on wet sanding and polishing and got amazing results! I was able to obtain body-shop quality applied paint and clear-coat at home. I'm not a body-shop professional, but I was able to obtain a finish that is equal to what one would obtain at a body-shop. The paint is a near perfect match and I have to say if you're in need of repairing a bumper or a single body panel on your vehicle it's possible to do it at home. I just set-up a small paint area in my garage and rattle can painted away.
The products that I used were automotive primer, plastic adhesion promoter, rattle can paint, a rattle can handle and the rattle can 2-part clear-coat product. As far as prep work, yes you'll need to perform proper prep work which I did by hand (took a little longer versus using my DA sander/ polisher) and I wet sanded and cleaned the surface of the entire body and lower body panel properly prior to the paint and clear-coat applications.
All that you have to do is give these products a chance and you should be able to duplicate a "professional looking" finished product yourself without having to visit a body-shop.

I have been looking for a paint to match the radiator crossmember on my 93 Mustang. This matched perfectly. Ford used a different color on the underhood sheetmetal. Just wish they could have sold me a small touch up bottle rather than a spray can only.

My Mustang's rear bumper turned out great! Ordered 2 spray cans of base coat paint and 2 spray cans of high gloss clear coat. It was enough to apply 4 coats each to my bumper. I removed my bumper and did this in my garage in a matter of a few hours. Repaired the minimal damage first, prepped it and then sprayed it. I wet color sanded it the following weekend with 1500 grit paper to remove the "orange peel" and then polished it to a high luster with some Zymol car polish. It has a "mirror" finish. The color match is not perfect, but close, due to my original paint being 21 years old and faded (I expected this). I am very happy with the results and paid a fraction of what a shop would have charged me to do the same exact thing!
