Why The Two-Step Paint System?

Your 1997 Ford GT is painted at the factory with a high quality basecoat/clearcoat system. This two-step paint system consists of step one, the basecoat, which is your car’s actual color, and step two, the clearcoat, the specially formulated clear paint that protects the base color and provides the luster and deep shine your vehicle came with when new. AutomotiveTouchup products faithfully reproduce your vehicle manufacturer’s basecoat/clearcoat system.

Here's what our customers are saying about our Touch Up Paint:

Al, owner of a 1998 Ford Econoline from NJ

I needed to repair some large rust spots on the roof channels of my 18 year-old Ford Club Wagon. I am hoping to get another 5-10 years use out of it as mechanically it is in good condition. I found Automotive Touchup on the Internet, after purchasing another brand of rust converter and etching primer. I followed the directions for all four products, and the result is very good, so far. The Ford color was an exact match, right down to the metallic flecks. The clear coat is, of course, clear but leaves a good finish. The real proof will be how well the repair holds up, which is also dependent on my prep work. Overall, I would recommend these products. The spray can worked fine, though the nozzle had a somewhat broader spray pattern than I expected.

Steve, owner of a 1998 Ford Light Truck from PA

I was very pleased with the color matches of the two different colors I ordered. The gloss clearcoat was ok but not as good as the paint in quality. Made two different orders of which the first arrived in a timely fashion but the second order was way past the expected seven or so business days for delivery.
