Why The Two-Step Paint System?

Your 1997 Ford Police Car is painted at the factory with a high quality basecoat/clearcoat system. This two-step paint system consists of step one, the basecoat, which is your car’s actual color, and step two, the clearcoat, the specially formulated clear paint that protects the base color and provides the luster and deep shine your vehicle came with when new. AutomotiveTouchup products faithfully reproduce your vehicle manufacturer’s basecoat/clearcoat system.

Here's what our customers are saying about our Touch Up Paint:

R, owner of a 1997 Ford Thunderbird from Johnson City, TX

Even though I have been a automotivetouchup customer many times, and always satisfied with their service and product, I decided to give Dr.color...a try. All I can say is another order to automotouchup was made so I could do the touch up job I wanted to do in the first place. The other place was more expensive too. So if you're reading this trying to make a decision on what touch up site to do business with, you're already at the right place!

Dan, owner of a 1997 Ford Crown Victoria from Albuquerque, NM

Spray cans have a design problem. The spray nozzle doesn't sit tall enough on the can. As I'm spraying, the paint collects on the lip around the nozzle. If the can is being held with any horizontal tilt then the collected paint drips onto the painted surface. To avoid this I have to wipe the collected paint off the can lip every two-three seconds. Before I learned this the collected paint dripped two times requiring me to re-sand the drip spots. Other than the dripping the cans spray great. The color match is fine.
