CLEAR COAT IS REQUIRED WITH THIS PAINT

To ensure your paint repair blends in perfectly, you'll need to apply a clear coat over the color coat. While AutomotiveTouchup paint products are custom mixed to perfectly match the color of your 2002 Ford Telstar, we use the same basecoat/clearcoat system as your factory specs. You can add a clear coat to your order on the next step. The color code can be located in the driver side door jamb. Click here for the Ford paint code location chart and paint code image example.

Why The Two-Step Paint System?

Your 2002 Ford Telstar is painted at the factory with a high quality basecoat/clearcoat system. This two-step paint system consists of step one, the basecoat, which is your car’s actual color, and step two, the clearcoat, the specially formulated clear paint that protects the base color and provides the luster and deep shine your vehicle came with when new. AutomotiveTouchup products faithfully reproduce your vehicle manufacturer’s basecoat/clearcoat system.

Here's what our customers are saying about our Touch Up Paint:

Mark S, owner of a 2003 Ford Taurus from Washburn, WI

I've used both the gun and can spray paint and both work really well. The colors have always matched perfectly. Easy to order, easy to use, and its great to have a source that helps the garage mechanic.

David K, owner of a 2003 Ford Taurus from Cape Coral, FL

ATU works much better than brush methods. Color match is perfect. It is tougher in the vertical position than than horizontal scratches but with a little practice I got excellent results. I wore the chisel point down to flat. Paint flow to the tip was hard to control, slow at first but then too fast, but I carried a small piece of paper with me and let it flood the tip, then used that paint in the next few minutes by dipping the tip into the excess on the paper. Overall very good product. Will use again.
