Escapes seem to have an inherent problem with rust on the rear wheel well. I was tired of looking at about a 5 inch line of rust on mine. I was able to sand off a lot of the rust and apply your paint which matched perfectly and the finish spray. I know it's a temporary fix but it is much more pleasing to my eye. If I have to do again every few months I will be happy to do so.

Base coat was easy to use and matched the color reasonably well for a car that is 10 years old. Clear coat really made the repairs blend in well. Really have to get close to see the repaired section.

Purchased the paint, primer and clear coat 6 months before I had time to do this repair. All the products covered well, no issues with runs or poor spray performance. Color was almost exact. The only reason I can figure the color was off in certain angles or light is that the rest of the vehicle had faded over time. Excellent value for the dollar and a lot easier and cheaper than purchasing paint, reducer or thinner and mixing, cleaning the gun, etc. Perfect for small repairs and touch-ups on an older vehicle.

We have purchased Automotivetouchup.com touch up products for all of our vehicle in the past and never had any complaints. One of our vehicles had an area on the rear hatch where the paint was peeling. Estimates came in at over $600. So we decided to try to fix it ourselves. Ordered paint and clear coat, both spray cans for a 2008 Ford Escape T9 color. Color seems to match fine. I am no expert at automotive repair but it seemed to turn out 9/10 in my standard. However, after fine-sanding the clear coat, it seems more matte than the rest. I am content though as again, I am no expert. I may try to add more clear coat but it is okay as is. However, it did take like 10 days (total) to get the paint and I was not notified about shipping. I understand it is custom mixed and blah blah but you'd think that would only take a day or two. Also, the cost is a bit exorbitant (~$40+) for one custom can and one stock can. I know custom and all but still. I am just happy it worked out. Also got the spray gun relatively cheaper or market price compared to in store. Works great, happy with that.

For my first time touch up I was really pleased with the products I ordered from Automotive Touchup. In all honesty I would say the color was a 98% match. The color itself was spot on, the exact shade of red. The only thing is the original base coat has a goldish shimmer to it and the touchup paint was more flat. But unless you're actually looking close enough you don't really notice. [ATU Note: Clearcoat tends to bring out the shimmer in metallic and pearl.]

I haven't done paint touchup since my old VW in the '70's, but my Escape Hybrid was getting some rust around the rear wheel wells (otherwise the paint is perfect) and the local body shops wanted between $500 and $2000 to repair. For that amount I figured I could do it myself. I found automotivetouchup.com through Google, ordered spray primer, base color and clear coat, along with a pack of sanding paper. After a lot of sanding, some Bondo, and more sanding, I did the painting over Labor Day and I'm very pleased with the result. The color is an excellent match and I can hardly tell what area was repaired. Any imperfections are due to my own (lack of) technique and not the product. I'm one very happy customer!

I found the website 3 years ago and purchased the paint to repair a bumper on my son's Ford Escape. The bumper was black, it came out a dead match. I've since repainted his bumper a second time as well as bumpers on a 2010 BMW, 2008 Mercedes and a 1991 Alfa Romeo. All look like factory finishes. A rule of thumb for first timers, buy the spray can handle, its makes the job much easier to spray and the flow a lot more even. Also for each can of color buy 2 cans of clear. If 2 coats of color at least 4 -5 coats of clear. The clear makes all the difference. Great product, I'll use again whenever needed, saved me thousands already!

I've used the Automotive Touch up on 3 occasions so far. In all cases, I've removed and completely refinished the bumpers on a late model BMW, Mercedes and Ford Escape. The Escape with hardest, as it was solid black. BMW and Mercedes were both metallic. All 3 came out superb. Historically, touch-up paint has been a poor solution to scratches and scrapes. Finally a product that is easy to apply and looks close to factory paint. I know it's there, but no one else does.
