Why The Two-Step Paint System?

Your 2019 Ford F150 Raptor is painted at the factory with a high quality basecoat/clearcoat system. This two-step paint system consists of step one, the basecoat, which is your car’s actual color, and step two, the clearcoat, the specially formulated clear paint that protects the base color and provides the luster and deep shine your vehicle came with when new. AutomotiveTouchup products faithfully reproduce your vehicle manufacturer’s basecoat/clearcoat system.

VERY happy to find touch up paint for my ‘Baby’ who turns 5 in June. You really came through where dealerships failed, thank you!!!

I just finished applying this to my vehicle. Both the paint and the clear coat apply evenly. If you’re working at an angle other than right on top straight down, be careful that the paint and clear coat don’t run down the body of your work space. Happened to me on two occasions with the clearcoat. Had to act quickly to wipe it up before it dried. One trick, prime the pens on the flat part of the cap to get the liquid flowing, then move it to your spot. Overall, the colors match perfectly. I had to go over the clearcoat with a plastic edge to remove excess glue from the work area, minimal, but definitely needed to shave the surface down to make it smooth to the hand. It looks great. Thank you.
