I would like to thank everyone at Automotive Touchup. Starting with the very helpful and knowledgable phone tech, their color data base team is second to none and the shipping time was quick and painless. Great job, will use and recommend to others. Thanks , Mike
Jaime B, owner of a 1991 Geo Tracker from Las Vegas, NV
My 25 year old Geo Tracker, was professionally repaired, & mostly repainted after a bike hit the side of it. I say mostly because it was most cost effective to just do the major panels, plus the auto painter complained about doing trim work, and wanted twice the money ( already at 3grand) to do the rest.
So, I found this company, got the paint and clearcoat.
This paint MATCHED my 25 year old original paint (which was in pretty good shape, and kept in garage / SF & LV climates)
I mean not a shade off, It matched the pro painters paint mix, it matched the orig paint on the car. Shocking.
So I used it for front grill, bumpers front and back and roof.
The key for me was to use it on smaller, busy areas, to minimize the need for a large panel evenness.
I don't think with a spray can, you would get the larger panels even, but if you had a pro sprayer gun, and got the quarts you would have a pretty good chance of it, if you were good at painting with a sprayer in the first place.
Surprisingly, the roof - a large panel, but obviously mostly unseen, was remarkably even. The paint goes on very evenly, it is the clear coat that defines the paint job in the end.
At the end of the day, you could not see ANY DIFFERENCE between my trim work, and the pro auto painters paint job. The colors and clear coat matched.
I am not sure, but it seems the nozzles they provide on the spray can, to be of a much higher quality / finer mist, than say a regular spray paint
