Why The Two-Step Paint System?

Your 1998 Gmc LW200 is painted at the factory with a high quality basecoat/clearcoat system. This two-step paint system consists of step one, the basecoat, which is your car’s actual color, and step two, the clearcoat, the specially formulated clear paint that protects the base color and provides the luster and deep shine your vehicle came with when new. AutomotiveTouchup products faithfully reproduce your vehicle manufacturer’s basecoat/clearcoat system.

Here's what our customers are saying about our Touch Up Paint:

James M, owner of a 1999 GMC Yukon from Santa Fe, NM

This paint, in terms of color match & quality is far better than others I've used!

Michael P, owner of a 1999 GMC Yukon from Belton, SC

Color matched metallic paint not only was very close match, but metallic laid out just like the original, too. 20 year old car, so you cannot expect a perfect match. Blending techniques would make it invisible, but I am just a hobbyist and have not learned that skill so far. Finish One clearcoat worked very well, too. Don’t worry if your clear ends up with orange peel. Simply color sand smooth and buff out to perfect results. Do not be afraid of edges when buffing, just slow your buffer speed way down and no problem.
