Why The Two-Step Paint System?

Your 2003 Honda Civic Hybrid is painted at the factory with a high quality basecoat/clearcoat system. This two-step paint system consists of step one, the basecoat, which is your car’s actual color, and step two, the clearcoat, the specially formulated clear paint that protects the base color and provides the luster and deep shine your vehicle came with when new. AutomotiveTouchup products faithfully reproduce your vehicle manufacturer’s basecoat/clearcoat system.

Here's what our customers are saying about our Touch Up Paint:

Dan B, owner of a 2002 Honda S2000 from San Marcos, CA

I am a life-long car nut, but never claimed to be a "Paint and Body" Guy! I recently retired and purchased a squeaky clean, survivor 2002 Honda S2000 (my 2nd one -- shouldn't have sold the first one!!). It's a weekend toy for cruising the Pacific Coast Highway, but not to become a money pit! The car was cosmetically very straight with nice original Sebring Silver paint except for the lower 3rd of the front bumper that had accumulated 17 years of rock chips. I certainly didn't need to re-paint the entire car and didn't want to pay $700. for a professional front bumper prep-prime-and-paint. Cutting to the chase --- I purchased the professionally matched and mixed factory Sebring Silver paint from AutomotiveTouchup along with the clearcoat spray. After carefully sanding and priming the bottom portion of the bumper, I was able to blend the silver paint into the existing paint WITHOUT any mismatch or obvious transition. Careful prep was key, but the AutomotiveTouchup paint is very high quality and flowed smoothly without runs or highlights/lowlights. I am very pleased with the results and am confident that I can do additional touch-ups, if needed, with a GREAT RESULT! Dan Birgelaitis San Marcos, CA

Tim C, owner of a 2003 Honda Accord Coupe from Capitola, CA

I just purchased this car, the clear coat was very bad on the trunk spoiler. I sanded the spoiler, cleaned it with acetone and applied three coats of paint and three coats of clear. It came out good but there was one low spot that I should a smoothed over with body putty, to get a perfect job. The use of putty wasn't discussed in the video and perhaps it would be a good suggestion, as the paint could fill the void. The color match was perfect. I hope for the same on my 64 MGB, when I repaint the inside of the hood, or bonnet. Cheers Tim
