Why The Two-Step Paint System?

Your 2003 Honda Gienia is painted at the factory with a high quality basecoat/clearcoat system. This two-step paint system consists of step one, the basecoat, which is your car’s actual color, and step two, the clearcoat, the specially formulated clear paint that protects the base color and provides the luster and deep shine your vehicle came with when new. AutomotiveTouchup products faithfully reproduce your vehicle manufacturer’s basecoat/clearcoat system.

David B, owner of a 2003 Honda Pilot from North Kingstown, RI

The color match was fine, keeping in mind my car is 14 years old. I was changing the color of a rear spoiler that I purchased from a salvage yard. I found that the spray pressure would not stay constant as I needed to hold the button for several seconds to paint one direction, full length. That resulted in the spray not being smooth; the finish looks bumpy. The clear improved it somewhat. Still, I'm pleased with the result for this older Pilot. The spoiler is above eye level so It's no big deal.
