Why The Two-Step Paint System?

Your 1997 Jaguar XK is painted at the factory with a high quality basecoat/clearcoat system. This two-step paint system consists of step one, the basecoat, which is your car’s actual color, and step two, the clearcoat, the specially formulated clear paint that protects the base color and provides the luster and deep shine your vehicle came with when new. AutomotiveTouchup products faithfully reproduce your vehicle manufacturer’s basecoat/clearcoat system.

Here's what our customers are saying about our Touch Up Paint:

Don, owner of a 1998 Jaguar

I had used the dealer’s touchup paint and was not satisfied with the match. I then decided to try your product -- what a difference. Your touchup paint was as close a match as is possible on a 17 year old vehicle. I was impressed with the match (even the applicator was better). (1998 Jaguar XK8 Convertible)

Donald K, owner of a 1998 Jaguar from Poway, CA

My 1998 Jaguar XJR had a couple small nicks. Jaguar no longer produces the touch up paint for that model year. I consulted with the dealer to be sure I had the correct color code. I then found Automotive TouchUp on line. I called their order department, and they quickly processed my order, and sent it out to me. The only negative was UPS. The tracking stated I would receive the package on the following Saturday. However, I was told it was given to the US Postal Service for local delivery, and it was delivered two days later. The good news is, the color matches perfectly, and all is well! [ATU Note: Smartpost/Sure Post is a hybrid mail system which utilizes the post office for the final mile of the delivery. It saves about a dollar or two to most customers and about 4 dollars for rural customers.]
