Restore Your 2010 Lexus LM Finish In Two Steps

Select Your Lexus's Color (Step One)

AutomotiveTouchup paint products are custom mixed to perfectly match the color of your 2010 Lexus LM using a basecoat/clearcoat system just like factory specs. To insure a proper match, you’ll need to know your vehicle’s color code, so you can find it on the chart below. The color code can be located in the driver side door jamb. The code will have a C/TR in front of it. A typical code will look like C/TR: 1D4/FH13, and 1D4 would be the color code in this example. Why The Two-Step Paint System?

Your 2010 Lexus LM is painted at the factory with a high quality basecoat/clearcoat system. This two-step paint system consists of step one, the basecoat, which is your car’s actual color, and step two, the clearcoat, the specially formulated clear paint that protects the base color and provides the luster and deep shine your vehicle came with when new. AutomotiveTouchup products faithfully reproduce your vehicle manufacturer’s basecoat/clearcoat system.

MATCH IS PERFECT. HAVE NOT FINISHED THE PROJECT OFR PAINTING AN AFTERMARKET BUMPER COVER BUT SO FAR SO GOOD. LOVE THE HELPFUL HINTS ON YOUR SITE.

TJ, owner of a 2009 Lexus RX350 from Winter Haven, FL

I ordered the Smokey Granite Mica for my 2009 Lexus, specifically for the grill which had flaking paint from what I suspect to be caused by dreaded Love Bugs. Silver flecks were showing thru in areas that detracted from the overall appearance of the grill. I ordered the touch up pen and gloss. The touch up paint pen is easy to use and was plentiful. I would give it a 8 out of 10 as far as color match. Maybe because it was going over a silver grill it wasn't a perfect match and came out just a tad darker. But the overall appearance of the grill is much better, 90 percent better looking than it was. The areas touched up appear to just have watermarks. However I could not use the gloss in this area due to every time I tried to apply it, it would remove the touch up paint and you could see silver again. I even tried waiting 5 hrs to allow the touch up paint an extended dry time before attempting the gloss and the same thing occurred again. I researched Club Lexus forum and found where someone said to put a dab of paint/gloss on something and then use a toothpick to apply to car. This worked as far as getting the gloss on without removing the paint. But, it seem to highlight the touch up, so I will forego the use of the gloss. But I would compare it to touch up paint I have purchased from OEM in the past.
