Why The Two-Step Paint System?

Your 1977 Lotus (All Models) is painted at the factory with a high quality basecoat/clearcoat system. This two-step paint system consists of step one, the basecoat, which is your car’s actual color, and step two, the clearcoat, the specially formulated clear paint that protects the base color and provides the luster and deep shine your vehicle came with when new. AutomotiveTouchup products faithfully reproduce your vehicle manufacturer’s basecoat/clearcoat system.

Here's what our customers are saying about our Touch Up Paint:

Paul D, owner of a 2006 Lotus Lotus from Stoughton, MA

I had a blister in the clear and base coat around a tail light of my 2006 Lotus elise. I ordered B-122 Graphite metallic and it matched perfectly. The directions and videos were very helpful and need to be followed to the letter for pro results. I do wish that the order process stopped and insisted on the acrylic lacquer primer. I used a dupli-color lacquer sealer as it was the closest to acrylic I could find locally. I applied 3 light coats of base and 4 light coats of clear. The sheen is great with minimal orange peel. The existing paint has a slight orange peel, so it was a win win. I submitted 3 photos blister, repaired, and finish. Automotive touch up was the only place I found my some what rare paint. Im very satisfied. Paul D. Boston Ma.

Perfect match. The instructions and videos were very helpful. I had a blister in the clear and in the base around a tail light recess. After repairing it, I applied 3 light coats of base and 4 light coats of clear blending the area. With some ultra fine compound and polish I was able to buff the area for a perfect blend and Pro results. Automotive touch up was the only place I could find paint for my Lotus Elise.

Scott S, owner of a 2005 Lotus from Maumee, OH

I just wanted to say Thank You Very Very Much! Both the Lotus Saffron Yellow and the Maserati Silver were right on. This was my second try on the Lotus paint and the other company did NOT get it right, yours is spot on.
