Why The Two-Step Paint System?

Your 1998 Mazda MX3 is painted at the factory with a high quality basecoat/clearcoat system. This two-step paint system consists of step one, the basecoat, which is your car’s actual color, and step two, the clearcoat, the specially formulated clear paint that protects the base color and provides the luster and deep shine your vehicle came with when new. AutomotiveTouchup products faithfully reproduce your vehicle manufacturer’s basecoat/clearcoat system.

Here's what our customers are saying about our Touch Up Paint:

Fred D C, owner of a 1999 Mazda Protege from Purcellville, VA

Perfect match! Was repainting the hood on mom's Protege, which was pretty well rusted along the front edge. Mom called the car 'Scarface'. Well, she's Scarface no more. The paint matches beautifully. My only critique is that the clear coat has an uneven sheen in a couple of places, but that's more a problem with my technique rather than the paint. If I had it to do over again, I would order it in cans and spray with a spray gun; my hand strength made it difficult to apply even pressure to the spray button on the spray cans. Would use again, and highly recommend!

Mick, owner of a 1999 Mazda MX5 Miata from Pompano Beach, FL

The paint color matched up pretty well. Easy to apply. It would be easier on a more level surface as opposed to a vertical one with how thin it is, but it worked well enough.
