I would advise most people to have a professional do the work unless you are filling small dings and chips. I’m not experienced with auto painting, but I still think it should have looked a lot better than it ended up looking.

I used your 18J touch up paint for my Miata. It is considerably better than the other brands I’ve used, not perfect, but much better. After doing some research online, it seems that if you go too heavy with the clearcoat, it could come out too dark. Mine is too dark, but at least the same color. I ordered more, and suspect that it will come out much better, as I will use the clearcoat sparingly.

Our Miata has a low air dam in front and parking lots with concrete stop-blocks can create self-inflicted damage if not careful. I followed the directions and did a very acceptable repair. I have all the materials needed to repair it again (and again) if I or another driver makes the same mistake.

Miata paint 18G was just a touch lighter.
The car only has 14,000 miles and always inside so that is a good starting point.
I painted light passes totaling 10 times.
I have to paint the front mud guards too. I increased the light coats to 15 to see what happens.
I'll clear coat those today.
I was really happy with the results and plan to use your services again.

I ordered touch up paint for my Mazda CX-7, Mazda3, and Miata - black, silver, and green. Brush touched MANY scratches and chips. All colors matched very well, so thank you AutomotiveTouchup. I definitely recommend, and will buy more from AutomotiveTouchup. My tips:
Clean car first - remove dirt and dust,
Shake bottle regularly - keep paint mix consistent color and not gooey,
Keep paint "inside the lines" (in the chip/scratch crater) and not over factory paint, and
Use sparingly - so it stays "in the lines" and does not drip.

I bought my 2000 Miata with a parking lot dent in the left front fender. After getting the matching color base coat spray paint from your site, I did the body work myself and finished it with your urethane color coat and then your clear acrylic lacquer top coat.
2 days later I used a very fine power buffer on it. Now, it really matches the rest of the original paint job of the rest of the car. (Which by the way was polished several times per year by the original owner religiously since he bought it brand new in 2000.)
