Restore Your 1986 Mercedes-Benz SL Finish In Two Steps

Select Your Mercedes-Benz's Color (Step One)

AutomotiveTouchup paint products are custom mixed to perfectly match the color of your 1986 Mercedes-Benz SL using a basecoat/clearcoat system just like factory specs. To insure a proper match, you’ll need to know your vehicle’s color code, so you can find it on the chart below. The code on your identificaiton sticker will normally have many numbers in it with no prefix identifying a number as a paint code. The paint code will either be three or four digits. Some times the code will have a prefix of DB but this is not consistant. Click here for Mercedes Benz examples.

Why The Two-Step Paint System?

Your 1986 Mercedes-Benz SL is painted at the factory with a high quality basecoat/clearcoat system. This two-step paint system consists of step one, the basecoat, which is your car’s actual color, and step two, the clearcoat, the specially formulated clear paint that protects the base color and provides the luster and deep shine your vehicle came with when new. AutomotiveTouchup products faithfully reproduce your vehicle manufacturer’s basecoat/clearcoat system.

Here's what our customers are saying about our Touch Up Paint:

Neil R, owner of a 1985 Mercedes-Benz SL Class from Langhorne, PA

While the bottle touch-up worked well, I could not get a smooth surface and so I went with the spray..voila! Works great. My only issue now is to figure a way to "flare out" the edges caused by taping off the painted area. In other words I need to eliminate the patch look and have a smooth transition to the surrounding original area.

This is the second batch of touch up paint and clear coat that I have ordered. This repeat order stands as a testament to the quality of your products.
