Why The Two-Step Paint System?

Your 2005 Mercedes-Benz Atego is painted at the factory with a high quality basecoat/clearcoat system. This two-step paint system consists of step one, the basecoat, which is your car’s actual color, and step two, the clearcoat, the specially formulated clear paint that protects the base color and provides the luster and deep shine your vehicle came with when new. AutomotiveTouchup products faithfully reproduce your vehicle manufacturer’s basecoat/clearcoat system.

Here's what our customers are saying about our Touch Up Paint:

Robert S, owner of a 2005 Mercedes-Benz S Class from Newburgh, NY

I purchased touch up brush in bottle to fix some scrapes on the car. Perfect match!!!!

Harold G, owner of a 2005 Mercedes-Benz CLK Class from San Antonio, TX

It worked great for me. Absolutely perfect match! I had some paint flaking off the rear bumper in a small area of my White Mercedes CLK 500 after flexing on a minor impact with a small tree. The bumper had been repainted after an accident some years ago. I don't think that the paint adhesion to the bumper was as good at it should have been but the rest of the bumper looked fine. I really didn't want to invest in a complete professional repaint of the whole bumper so I decided to try using touch-up paint. I found Automotivetouchup on the web in the usual way. I located the color code number on my car and used that to designate the paint color on my order. I used the Mercedes 960 Basecoat, the recommended Adhesion Promoter, and the Gloss Clearcoat. I checked on YouTube and searched "spray paint car with cans". Up popped "How To Paint Your Car with Colour Matched Spray Cans". The guys who made it are goofy but the instructions are detailed and very clear. I also watched a few YouTubes on blending automotive spray paint. I just needed some wet/dry sandpaper and I did use my small power sander but that is not essential. It took a weekend afternoon but most of the time was drying time. The repair is undetectable - a perfect match!
