Why The Two-Step Paint System?

Your 1994 Mercury Montego is painted at the factory with a high quality basecoat/clearcoat system. This two-step paint system consists of step one, the basecoat, which is your car’s actual color, and step two, the clearcoat, the specially formulated clear paint that protects the base color and provides the luster and deep shine your vehicle came with when new. AutomotiveTouchup products faithfully reproduce your vehicle manufacturer’s basecoat/clearcoat system.

Here's what our customers are saying about our Touch Up Paint:

Norm W, owner of a 1995 Mercury Grand Marquis from Saint Louis, MO

I can’t comment on the paint yet, the weather turned cold quickly and I have to wait until warmer weather. The order process and shipping was excellent.

Alan R, owner of a 1995 Mercury Grand Marquis from El Dorado, AR

I didn't really expect a good match on the color since I was repairing a dented fender on a 1995 vehicle with metallic silver paint. I have put off this repair for a couple of years as I figured it would look like crap if I did it myself. The body shop wanted $400 to fix it. I am pleasantly surprised that it is perfect. I spent a LOT of time pulling the dent and preparing the surface, and with the touch up paint you simply can't tell it was ever damaged. I let the clear coat dry a couple of days, then gently wet sanded with 1000 grit paper, then buffed with rubbing compound, then buffed with polishing compound, than waxed...maybe overkill but it is really slick. Delivery time was good although I wasn't really in a hurry to get it. I have some work do to on my wife's 2002 Accord so will be ordering some more paint soon. This is a great product. I highly recommend it!
