Why The Two-Step Paint System?

Your 1999 Mercury Mariner Hev is painted at the factory with a high quality basecoat/clearcoat system. This two-step paint system consists of step one, the basecoat, which is your car’s actual color, and step two, the clearcoat, the specially formulated clear paint that protects the base color and provides the luster and deep shine your vehicle came with when new. AutomotiveTouchup products faithfully reproduce your vehicle manufacturer’s basecoat/clearcoat system.

Here's what our customers are saying about our Touch Up Paint:

Frank A, owner of a 2000 Mercury Mystique from West Long Branch, NJ

Overall I felt the product was excellent. I did find it a bit of a challenge to spray a metallic paint as I had to constantly shake the can to get an even coating. The paint sprayed well with no clogging of the spray tip. I would suggest your product to my friends. The area that I repaired on my car consisted of a 4 inch oval dent along with a 3 inch circular area of rust spot on the lower front fender. After completing the body work, primer and then the final coat of touch up the area blended in nicely to the original paint. Taking all of this into consideration I did feel that the cost of the product was high BUT I also will comment that the paint saved me considerable money if I had taken the car to a body shop.............

Brian H, owner of a 2000 Mercury Grand Marquis from Dundas, MN

As a Do It Yourself type of guy, who tends to drive older cars, I have done more than my share of body paint touch ups. I am pleased with the color match and the larger easy to use spray cans. I bought two cans, but only needed one. Which I am sure I will use in a year or so. If the car keeps running!
