Why The Two-Step Paint System?

Your 1960 MG (All Models) is painted at the factory with a high quality basecoat/clearcoat system. This two-step paint system consists of step one, the basecoat, which is your car’s actual color, and step two, the clearcoat, the specially formulated clear paint that protects the base color and provides the luster and deep shine your vehicle came with when new. AutomotiveTouchup products faithfully reproduce your vehicle manufacturer’s basecoat/clearcoat system.

Here's what our customers are saying about our Touch Up Paint:

Bryan D, owner of a 1960 MG MGA from Denver, CO

Long after I painted my 1960 MGA (a 19-year restoration!), I realized I needed to buy new hood hinges. These were bare metal, of course, so I ordered an aerosol can to paint them. The color was an absolutely perfect match to the rest of the car. Besides that, the paint seems to be of extremely high quality, with loads of pigment.

Robert H, owner of a 1951 MG from Jackson, GA

Actually, the paint was for a 1951 mg td that was painted with the '71 chevy color in 1995. Touchup from you matched fine. The paint used in '75 was lacquer. I did not want the paint to bubble, so i used your base coat and topped with clear lacquer ( which is still available). I compounded and buffed to match.

Paul P, owner of a 1968 MG from Northfield, OH

After speaking to a young lady about my 1968 MGB (she had no clue about the car or what products you had to help me with a paint problem), I called back and spoke with a lady who had perfect knowledge of your products and how to match the paint on a vintage car. Great Job!!!
