Why The Two-Step Paint System?

Your 1998 Mitsubishi Raider is painted at the factory with a high quality basecoat/clearcoat system. This two-step paint system consists of step one, the basecoat, which is your car’s actual color, and step two, the clearcoat, the specially formulated clear paint that protects the base color and provides the luster and deep shine your vehicle came with when new. AutomotiveTouchup products faithfully reproduce your vehicle manufacturer’s basecoat/clearcoat system.

Here's what our customers are saying about our Touch Up Paint:

Tom I, owner of a 1999 Mitsubishi Montero Sport from San Diego, CA

Good product does the job !! Thank You,

Esteban U, owner of a 1999 Mitsubishi Montero from Chattanooga, TN

Paint color is a wonderful match and the turn out is great. The base coat cans needed to be heated up with a shop lamp at first to avoid the splatter and over spray. I was spraying outdoors at around 60 degrees. So I'm positive this step/trick isn't needed during summer applications. My only other note which may not be avoidable in the auto paint world is the smell and off-gassing of the product. Over all I'm super happy with the outcome and will be purchasing product again in the future.
