I find that Automotive touch up paints ( I've used the Aerosol sprays cans) are outstanding color matches. I've used the BMW Canyon red Metallic, the Volvo grey Metallic and the Black for my Porsche. They are obviously expensive cars, but using the proper wet/dry abrasive sheets and the gloss Clear coat, I would challenge any one to tell where the repair and original paints meet. The front end of Porsche's are tailor made for dings from debris sent by cars and trucks, even when a reasonable distance is maintained. I ordered a touch-up pen from Automotive Touchup in Midnight Blue (the Porsche name of the color of my Boxster S) that was spot on, color-wise. I also received it in very short order, so nothing but praise there at a price that was more than reasonable...and no, I have no affiliation with Automotive Touchup. I ended up using it for even more than the ding touch up; I had a scrape on lower front fender where it meets a black airfoil. I can not tell the difference between where I 'painted' it and the surrounding area. Automotivetouchup - Please keep up the great work. I'll be back.
