Why The Two-Step Paint System?

Your 1991 Subaru L-Series is painted at the factory with a high quality basecoat/clearcoat system. This two-step paint system consists of step one, the basecoat, which is your car’s actual color, and step two, the clearcoat, the specially formulated clear paint that protects the base color and provides the luster and deep shine your vehicle came with when new. AutomotiveTouchup products faithfully reproduce your vehicle manufacturer’s basecoat/clearcoat system.

Here's what our customers are saying about our Touch Up Paint:

Jason J, owner of a 1992 Subaru Legacy from Portland, OR

I bought color code 280 Ice blue paint, specifically for my driver side door, which has a dent in it I caused. I wanted to test it before I actually started filling, sanding, and painting...so I did the passenger door handle. The passenger side was extremely faded and rusty compared to the others, to put it lightly, I did a really horrible job masking and painting, but the overall finish looked amazing, as a matter of fact the door handle looked better than the whole car side. After going at it with some polish I was mostly successful in blending in the edges. Overall I think this color came out better than I expected and is the reason I bought Marina Blue paint for my 71 Volkswagen. Definitely gonna keep buying from here. 👍 Jason J

Matthew Chidester, owner of a 1992 Subaru from Salt Lake City Utah

I have an old 1992 Subaru SVX with a Teal colored "peacock blue" so it was nice to get a bottle of paint that matched perfectly for some chips. The pen didn't work very well and eventually dried out but the bottle with the brush works great and will last me probably longer than the car :). I'd recommend a bottle over a pen for everyone interested. Thanks - great product Automotive Touchup.
