Why The Two-Step Paint System?

Your 2014 Tesla Model S is painted at the factory with a high quality basecoat/clearcoat system. This two-step paint system consists of step one, the basecoat, which is your car’s actual color, and step two, the clearcoat, the specially formulated clear paint that protects the base color and provides the luster and deep shine your vehicle came with when new. AutomotiveTouchup products faithfully reproduce your vehicle manufacturer’s basecoat/clearcoat system.

Here's what our customers are saying about our Touch Up Paint:

Robert F, owner of a 2014 Tesla Model S from Scottsdale, AZ

The paint is superb. I repaired a bumper and followed the directions. There is a learning curve in the repair. The trick is to sand and sand and sand.

John T, owner of a 2014 Tesla Model S from Sugar Land, TX

perfect match, just what I wanted

William S, owner of a 2015 Tesla Model S from Las Vegas, NV

I bought a used Tesla with rock chips a few scratches and an area on the bumper the size of a half dollar which was damaged but not repaired. Car is a deep blue pearl color which I thinned so i could air brush base color into prepared areas. Color match was perfect and dried dull. I thinned clearcoat and built up layers over base coat. Last coats were applied using brush in bottle. Use sanding sponge wrapped in 1000 grit wet paper and sanded until area showed no ring of gloss before using 3000 grit and ending in 5000 grit for perfect sand. Dried for about two weeks before using fine polishing compounds which brought back gloss that is perfect with surrounding paint and is undetectable from factory paint. Car looks brand new. Very happy with results. If you want same results, do not rush prepping and finishing. You will get same results as a car paint from a detailer.
