I painted a black plastic replacement part. Probably should have used gray primer because this silver/blue metallic base color came out a little dark. The directions recommend light coats of metallic colors so perhaps it was my error. I have a bumper and body repair to do when the weather is right. The application and coverage was great overall and I could not get this color anywhere for the price Automotive Touch-Up could offer.

My 2005 Toyota Sienna sustained an ugly dent on the driver's door one day two years ago and I have been seeing that ugly reminder every time I got into the car. I didn't do anything about it because the repair shops all wanted $1,500 to take care of it. Finally I came to the end of my wits and decided to do something about it. First I searched online for the paint needed and found AUTOMOTIVE TOUCHUP and called them. They were very helpful and in less than two weeks the paint and gloss were in my hands. The color match was perfect. A month or so later my wife whacked the drivers door mirror off her Carolla and of course the replacement was only available in BLACK. well that just would not do on a GOLD car. So, I called Automotive Touchup again and now my wife is very happy again. Believe it or not two months later she did it again on the same door mirror. Fortunately, I still had enough paint and used it again. Yes, I have had a discussion with my HONEY about paying ATTENTION TO WHERE SHE SHE WAS GOING.

When I first received my order, the color looked off when I did a test spot on the card that automotive touchup included in the box. Our car is Blue Metallic Mist (Toyota) and what I got looked more silver than blue. I was painting a new passenger door mirror to match the cars body color. I took a leap of faith, went ahead and painted my part and as soon as I hit it with clear coat, the color jumped to life and is a perfect match when put next to the car. The paint was perfect, it matched our Sienna's color exactly. The clearcoat I ordered just to try was a good idea... it really helped make the repair look good. Since this van is old, and the scratches are just cosmetic, we didnt want to spend thousands at a body shop, or hundreds even at maaco to paint it (the car is simply not worth it) so we decided to just use touch up, which makes the car look ok from 20 ft, AND it prevents the scratches from rusting.
So in conclusion, the paint color matched perfectly, and we are very happy with the results. We will certainly buy more for our other cars if needed.
