I was a bit skeptical whether or not the paint (Marathon Blue) I ordered for my 1972 VW Super Beetle would be a close match to the original factory paint color but was pleasantly surprised on just how close the color was when it was applied. I ordered the 3-can kit (primer, base coat , clear coat) just to ensure compatibility between the painting stages, and the entire process went extremely well -- no clogged rattle cans, no paint sags, etc.,. Ordered, Primer, Base coat and Clear in Marina Blue for a 1972 VW in spray cans to paint my rear engine lid. The color matches beautifully and the paint went on very smooth with no peel of any kind.
