Why The Two-Step Paint System?

Your 2003 Volkswagen GLI is painted at the factory with a high quality basecoat/clearcoat system. This two-step paint system consists of step one, the basecoat, which is your car’s actual color, and step two, the clearcoat, the specially formulated clear paint that protects the base color and provides the luster and deep shine your vehicle came with when new. AutomotiveTouchup products faithfully reproduce your vehicle manufacturer’s basecoat/clearcoat system.

Here's what our customers are saying about our Touch Up Paint:

Denny, owner of a 2002 Volkswagen New Beetle from Tolono, IL

My granddaughter's 2002 red VW bug had a 5 inch crack in the plastic rear fender. I purchased your sandable primer, your color coded base coat paint and the clear coat (all aerosol). After repairing the crack I applied your products. I was amazed at how well it came out. Many years ago I used to do some body shop work so I know how difficult matching and blending can be. I would recommend your product to anyone. If I ever need paint I know where to go. Thanks

Tom Palka, owner of a 2002 Volkswagen New Beetle from Buffalo, NY

Initially when I put the first light coat over gray primer I did not think the paint would match. I am trying to cover an area that is roughly 2 feet by 1 foot wide. The car is 11 years old and the manufacturer does not carry the color anymore. When I finished with the third and final coat it was an exact match. When I sprayed the clear coat, no one could tell where I painted the car. Thank you for making the paint a TRUE match. It made my job a lot easier and it looks like a pro painter did it.
