Why The Two-Step Paint System?

Your 2017 Volkswagen Sagitar is painted at the factory with a high quality basecoat/clearcoat system. This two-step paint system consists of step one, the basecoat, which is your car’s actual color, and step two, the clearcoat, the specially formulated clear paint that protects the base color and provides the luster and deep shine your vehicle came with when new. AutomotiveTouchup products faithfully reproduce your vehicle manufacturer’s basecoat/clearcoat system.

Here's what our customers are saying about our Touch Up Paint:

Herbert S, owner of a 2016 Volkswagen Passat from Fort Lauderdale, FL

The Color was just a little to Dark but very close thanks.

Andrew R, owner of a 2016 Volkswagen Golf from Cumberland, RI

The color match was perfect. My car has 3 stage paint, which is tough to match. The videos on the website are very informative and helpful. The only problems I had were of my own making. On the first attempt I put on too many coats of pearl, (mid-coat), and it gave the paint a greenish tint. I figured I would start over, so I cleaned off the fresh paint with lacquer thinner but I must have used a contaminated rag. On the second attempt, I developed a significant amount of “fish eye” in 2 areas. I got the pearl coat right by only applying 2 light coats and the clear coat went on without a problem. No significant orange peel and the gloss looks fine after a light wet sand and polish. I don’t have enough paint left in the spray cans for another attempt so I will live with it for now. It’s been a learning experience, but your product is exceptional and I will/have refer friends to your site. I work as a mechanic in a busy shop so people are always asking for advice to fix small mishaps. Thanks again.
